Craft breaks down the quality of the composition, color, lighting, styling, clarity, and execution. Reach looks at scroll-stopping power, visual impact, and how well your work might perform in a social feed. Overall gives you the big-picture read: does this thing actually land?
The CRIT does more than say whether something looks good. It points out the parts of your image or video that need attention, explains what is working, and gives practical suggestions you can use right away. Tighten a crop. Clean up a background. The CRIT (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an AI-powered visual critique tool for photos, videos, design, fashion, makeup, art, branding, and other visual content. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, how it is used, and what choices you have.
By using The CRIT, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Process
The CRIT may process the following information:
User Content
When you choose or capture a photo or video for critique, the App processes that media. For videos, the App may extract still frames to generate the critique.
Critique Requests
The App may process related prompts, critique context, follow-up questions, and generated critique results.
Subscription and Purchase Status
The App uses Apple’s in-app purchase system to determine whether you have an active subscription. Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your full payment card information.
Local App Data
The App may store critique history, saved results, usage counts, preferences, and settings on your device.
2. How We Use Information
We use information only to provide and improve the App’s functionality, including to:
Generate AI critiques of your selected photos, videos, and visual content.
Show critique results, scores, focus areas, and follow-up answers.
Save critique history locally in the App.
Manage free usage limits and subscription access.
Provide export and sharing features.
Prevent misuse and maintain app functionality.
3. AI Processing
When you submit an image or video for critique, that content, including extracted video frames and related prompts, may be sent to Google Gemini solely to generate your critique.
We use this processing only to provide the App’s critique functionality. We do not sell your uploaded content. We do not use your uploaded content to train our own AI models.
Google’s processing of submitted content is governed by Google’s applicable terms and privacy policies.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited information only as needed to operate the App:
Google Gemini: to process submitted photos, videos, extracted frames, prompts, and critique requests.
Apple: to process subscriptions and in-app purchases through the App Store.
The App does not provide a public feed, marketplace, or browsing experience for third-party content.
5. Data Storage and Retention
Critique history and saved media may be stored locally on your device so you can revisit past critiques.
Content sent to Google Gemini is processed to generate your requested critique. We do not maintain a separate server-side archive of your uploaded content.
You can delete saved critiques from within the App. Deleting the App may also remove locally stored app data from your device, depending on your device and iCloud settings.
6. Your Choices
You can choose not to upload or capture photos or videos.
You can delete saved critique history in the App where available.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
You can contact us with privacy questions or deletion requests.
7. Children’s Privacy
The CRIT is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in your region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
8. Content Responsibility
Users are responsible for the photos, videos, and other content they submit to the App. Do not upload private, sensitive, confidential, unlawful, or content you do not have the right to use.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted network connections where supported, to protect information processed by the App. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Processing
If you use The CRIT outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date.
